RENO, NV - A man crossing Mill at Yori Tuesday around 6:30 a.m. was hit by a passing car.
An X in the road marks the spot where the man was hit, and blood in the road marks the spot 30 feet away where the victim finally came to rest.
Despite the blood, personal belongings strewn about and evidence of damage to the vehicle, the man only sustained broken bones and minor injuries, according to Reno police, and wasn't expected to spend the night at Renown Regional Medical Center, where he was taken for treatment and observation.
Police say the driver was cited for a right-of-way violation, saying she apparently didn't see the victim, who was wearing dark clothes but crossing legally. Police say the driver wasn't speeding and wasn't on alcohol or other drugs.
