RENO - Think Kindness and Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada are teaming up to take on bullying one box of cookies at a time.
The organizations are asking the community to participate in the One Kind Cookie campaign. To participate, you buy a box of Girl Scout Cookies and hold onto it. When you see someone performing an act of kindness, you give them the box of cookies. The groups have also set up a site where you can download a One Kind Cookie Note to tape to the box of cookies.
The goal of the One Kind Cookie campaign is to inspire more than 500 acts of kindness in the month of March. The Girl Scouts say they are ready to lead a positive change. The organization says it hopes the campaign will disrupt the pattern of bullying by inspiring kindness.
