RENO, Nev. -- One man was rushed to a hospital Saturday afternoon following an officer-involved shooting. It happened at about 4pm at the Lakemill Lodge at Lake and Mill streets in Reno.
A police spokesman says officers were originally called to the hotel for a fight. Details on how the fight turned into a shooting are still being investigated. One person - who is not an officer - was taken to the hospital with what police say are non-life-threatening wounds.
No one was evacuated from the hotel, and no one else was hurt. Officers have not arrested anyone but they do say the investigation is ongoing. The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is the lead agency, since the shooting involved Reno police. The officer involved is on routine administrative leave during the investigation.
