RENO, NV - The permit to allow the Occupy Reno movement to camp at the Moana pool complex expired at 4pm Wednesday, and the group peacefully packed up camp without applying for a new permit.
Occupy Reno had been at the site for three months.
Organizers say even though there was a lot of hurt and anger there Wednesday, this only serves to empower the movement and strenthen the message of equality.
The group plans to continue to get that message out. One of the occupy members plans to submit a proposal for the group to use the empty RTC building downtown.
