RENO, Nev. (AP) - President Barack Obama has left Reno after paying the Nevada city his third visit in a little over three months.

Air Force One left Reno-Tahoe International Airport on Tuesday evening bound for Nellis Air Force Base near Las Vegas for the president's next stop.

Obama visited Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno, where several hundred people packed the student center.

Before the president addressed the crowd, a pair of former leaders in Nevada's university system outlined the president's commitment to education.

Former state regent and Democratic congressional candidate Jill Derby says education is a central part of the president's family and his belief that everyone deserves equal access. Former UNR president Joe Crowley says education should not be a luxury for the few but "an economic imperative for the many."
