A new DMV kiosk inside the Joe Crowley Student Union at UNR will bring the statewide total to 45.
The kiosks were first introduced back in 2004.
The kiosks accept applications for drivers licenses, identification card renewals and instruction permits. You can also renew your registration.
There is a three dollar processing fee for registration renewals and a one dollar fee for all other transactions. The DMV says the fee allows them to expand and add more kiosks.
You can pay with cash at kiosks in side the DMV, but at other locations you need to pay with a credit or debit card or a check.
18 new kiosks are being installed statewide. The kiosks do about 38,000 transactions every month. Northern Nevada now has eight kiosks.
