RENO, Nev. (AP) - Physicians at the University of Nevada School of Medicine are teaming up with local doctors to offer low-cost sports participation physicals for high school athletes in northern Nevada
The exams will only cost $20 but their being offered for only one day - Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Nevada Physical Therapy office on the UNR campus near Mackay Stadium.
The Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association requires all high school athletes to get a physical.
A parent or legal guardian must be present at Tuesday's evaluations at UNR.
If medical problems are identified during the exam, the student will be referred to their primary care physician or to specialists within the community for further evaluation.
