Governor Sandoval Names Trachok to Board of Regents

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Gov. Brian Sandoval has named Rick
Trachok to the Nevada Board of Regents.
A partner in the Jones Vargas law firm, Trachok will fill the seat vacated by William Cobb. Sandoval worked at the same firm after he resigned as a federal judge in 2009 to run for governor.
In announcing the appointment Friday, Sandoval said Trachok's
experiences on a local school board and as an adjunct law professor
give him a unique foundation to make decisions concerning Nevada's
higher education system.
Trachok is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno and California Western School of Law. He also holds a master of laws degree from Cambridge University, Sidney Sussex College.
