RENO, Nev. (AP) - Owners of Nevada's Great Basin Brewing Company
are celebrating the bronze medal they recently won at the prestigious Great American Beer Festival in Denver.
The brewery with restaurants in Reno and Sparks claimed third place for its Outlaw Oatmeal Stout. It was one of 83 different beer categories judged the first weekend in October.
Great Basin owner Bonda Young says more than 3,900 brews were
entered in this year's competition but fewer than 250 won medals. She says they are recognized around the world as symbols of brewing
