Narcotics Investigation Leads to Heroin Trafficking Arrests

RENO, NV - Five people have been arrested by the Street Enforcement Team in connection with a ring of people apparently selling heroin.

Thursday, SET detectives served two search warrants on Angel Falls Drive and Brightridge Drive in Reno. They found approximately 457.2 grams of heroin, 33.1grams of methamphetamine, 13.4 grams of marijuana, and $48,417 in cash. In addition, several empty and prepackaged balloons were found, commonly used to package heroin for street level distribution.

The estimated street value of all the drugs seized is $50,000.

Due to the fact that this is an ongoing investigation, the names of the people arrested have not been released.

The regional Street Enforcement Team is made up of members of the Reno Police Department, Sparks Police Department and University of Nevada Police Services.
