MINDEN, Nev. (AP) - A Gardnerville man with a previous conviction for child abuse has been arrested on suspicion of fracturing the skull and a leg of his 3-month-old daughter.
The Record-Courier of Gardnerville reports 31-year-old Jonathan Flagg was booked Wednesday into the Douglas County Jail on a felony charge of child abuse and neglect.
Douglas County sheriff's deputies say they were called Wednesday to his home after he said the baby fell off a bed. But hospital personnel told investigators that the injuries were not consistent with a fall.
Deputies say the baby, who was born July 15, suffered two skull fractures, a fractured leg and other injuries.
Flagg was sentenced in 2004 to one year in jail after he pleaded guilty to child abuse involving a 6-month-old boy who suffered skull fractures.
