RENO, Nev. (AP) - Nevada's congressional delegation will host informational sessions this weekend for high school students wanting to learn more about attending one of the nation's military academies.
Saturday's event is being hosted by Sens. Harry Reid, Dean Heller and Reps. Shelley Berkley, Joe Heck and Mark Amodei.
Reid, the Senate majority leader, began Academy Information Day in Nevada more than two decades ago. It has since become a tradition for the Nevada delegation.
The northern Nevada session begins at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Joe Crowley Student Union on the University of Nevada, Reno campus.
For southern Nevada students, a similar session begins at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Nicholas Horn Theater at the College of Southern Nevada.
