NDOW Hosts Fishing Event for Beginners

RENO, NV - The Nevada Department of Wildlife is sponsoring a free "Kids Learn to Fish" event tonight, July 25.

From 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., children can learn the basics of hooking and line set up.

This fishing event is targeted for entry level anglers.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Participants will need to bring their own fishing rod, however NDOW will provide rods.

Spinning rods are limited to the first requests.

Children 12 and older are required to have a Nevada fishing license.

The event will take place at Marilyn's Pond, located in Galena Creek Regional Park.
