A motorcyclist dies while heading through an intersection in Reno but not because of a fatal crash.
According to the Reno Police Department a motorcyclist was seen heading through the intersection of S. Virginia and S. McCarran around 2:20 p.m., Thu., when witnesses observed the rider slump over and fall off the bike.
The passenger-less motorcycle continued through the intersection and hit a vehicle stopped at a tight turn lane.
The rider was transported to Renown where he was pronounced dead.
At this time, police believe the rider may have died from a medical condition. The investigation is ongoing and is pending autopsy to determine cause and manner of death.
The identity of the motorcyclist is pending notification to the next of kin.
