RENO, Nev.– Local McDonald’s restaurants in the Greater Reno-Tahoe area will be kicking off the new year by offering a free small cup of coffee to its customers.
Beginning Monday, January 9, all local McDonald’s restaurants throughout the Northern Nevada and Lake Tahoe region will be offering a free small Premium Roast Coffee made with 100 percent fire-roasted Arabica Beans to all customers during business hours with no purchase necessary.
This program comes a week after local restaurants in Northern California started a similar initiative, and is local McDonald’s way of offering a helping hand at the start of the new year.
“This past year has been difficult for local residents with so many recent tragedies and a local economy that is still recovering. This is our way lending support to our community during these difficult times,” said Tom McKennie, a local McDonald’s restaurant owner from Reno.
“The holidays are over and budgets are now extremely tight. We hope this will offer some comfort to our community and also warm them up a little during this winter season.”
The free coffee program will last two weeks, beginning Monday, January 9 and ending on Sunday, January 22. Restaurants participating in the program reside in the following counties:
E. El Dorado County (South Lake Tahoe area)
E. Placer County (Tahoe City)
