Police Seek Witnesses of Fight That Left One Man Seriously Hurt

RENO, NV - Reno police are investigating a fight that left a man in critical condition in a hospital.

Police were called around 7AM Saturday to the area of Hubbard Way and South Virginia Street regarding a fight involving two people, with one person on the ground requiring medical attention. Officers arrived and found both parties behind the business at 120 Hubbard Way. Initial information indicated the fight was over one person possibly taking property from the other. Detectives interviewed both people, getting conflicting accounts of what had happened.

One of them is being treated for serious head and facial injuries and is listed in critical condition, though he is alert and conscious.

Area surveillance video shows an uninvolved person walking from the area where the fight was occurring. Also, one witness called 9-1-1 to report the fight but did not leave information for detectives to be able to contact him. Detectives would like to speak to both of these people.
