UPDATE: Police have identified the man who was hit by the car.
RENO, NV - A man was hit by a car early Friday on Stead Boulevard near the intersection with Silver Lake Road in Stead.
It happened just after two a.m. Police say the victim had been drinking, and was wearing dark clothes and was not in a crosswalk when the driver hit him. The driver was not hurt. Police say one driver swerved and missed the victim, and the driver behind that first driver wasn't able to swerve quickly enough. Police say the driver is cooperating with police and isn't believed to be at fault.
The victim is in critical condition at Renown Regional Medical Center. Police say he is white, between 18 and 22 years old, 5'8" and 145 pounds, with short blond hair, black pants and a red shirt.
