SPARKS, NV = Sparks police say a 45-year-old man held a convenience store clerk at gunpoint, because the clerk wouldn't sell him alcohol.
Police arrested Timothy Bowman, a Sparks man/ in that crime.
They say Bowman walked into the Rainbow Market on Commerce street around 7:00 Monday night.
Bowman allegedly demanded alcohol, but the clerk wouldn't sell to him because his driver's license was expired.
That's when Bowman allegedly pulled a gun from his pants, again demanding that he be allowed to buy booze, and the clerk gave in. He later gave police a description of Bowman's pickup.
Police found the truck, and had to forcibly remove Bowman from it. Bowman was charged with robbery with a firearm, possession of a firearm while intoxicated, D.U.I., obstructing an officer and other traffic related charges. He was booked on more than $16,000 bail.
