RENO, Nev. -- Search and Rescue crews report the man is pinned by a "large boulder." He is about a mile up from the highway across from Thunderbird Estates.
Search and Rescue officials do not have any information on his current medical condition other than he was able to make a phone call for help.
RENO, Nev. -- Rescue crews are working to free a man who got pinned by a rock near Chimney Beach.
A Washoe County Search and Rescue official tells KOLO 8 News Now early details indicate a man was walking or hiking near Chimney Beach on the eastern shore of Lake Tahoe when he fell. The official says a rock then rolled, pinning him in place.
The official says the man was able to call for help, and crews are on the way to his location right now. The Search and Rescue official emphasizes this information is extreme early in the operation.
