RENO, NV - Reno police have arrested a man accused of trying to sell stolen goods.

November 28, 2013, a man reported to police that his storage unit on Booth Street had been burglarized. December 3, the victim found his stolen property on Craigslist. Burglary and Regional Street Enforcement Team Detectives from RPD responded to the advertisement and identified the person selling the items as Brad Braley. Police say Braley made a deal with undercover detectives to sell the stolen property. Detectives met with Braley December 5, and the stolen property was recovered.

The Reno Police Department would like to provide the public with some safety tips when buying and selling via Craigslist:

Don't go alone
Insist on a public meeting place, like a cafe
Don't meet in a secluded place
Don't invite strangers into your home
Don't go visit a stranger at their home
Be especially careful when buying/selling high value items
Tell a friend or family member where you're going
Take your cell phone with you
Trust your instincts
