Man Accused in Carson City Road Rage Death Stays in Jail

27-year-old Leonardo Cardoza

CARSON CITY, Nev. -- The man accused in a senseless attack, which left a Carson City mother dead still hasn't entered a plea.

Friday morning, Leonardo Cardoza was in Carson Justice Court. A judge decided to continue the no-bail hold, keeping him in jail for the time being.

Cardoza is charged with first-degree murder for the death of 19-year-old Desiree Bragg.

Sheriff's detectives say Bragg and her fiancee were driving to her mother's house in January when Cardoza started following their car closely. They say when Desiree got out of the car, Cardoza slammed his van into her, pinning her between the vehicle and the home.

Cardoza is also charged with attempted murder because the fiance was there. The next hearing will be in district court next month. He may enter a plea then.
