Major Injury Hit-and-Run Accident, Pedestrian Seriously Injured

Reno, NV - On October 13, 2011 at approximately 1:31 a.m. officers from the Reno police department responded to the area of the 2200 Block of Flagg Dr. on a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident where the vehicle had fled the scene.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with substantial injuries, the full extent of those injuries are unknown at this time.

The accident is under investigation by Reno police's Major Accident Investigatoin Team. Alcohol may be a factor in the accident at this time.

The vehicle involved that fled the scene is described as a silver or champagne Buick sedan with a white top. The vehicle should have moderate damage to the rear of the vehicle and to the front passenger door.

Traffic investigators are requesting anyone who witnessed the accident or have information about the accident contact the traffic division at (775)334-2141.
