LYON COUNTY, Nev. – The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is conducting several traffic safety and pedestrian enforcement details on Thursday.
People in Dayton, Fernley, Stagecoach, Silver Springs and Mason Valley need to be on their best driving behavior.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office and the Joining Forces Department of Office of Traffic Safety will focus on speed enforcement and pedestrian traffic laws.
In Fernley, deputies are focusing on drivers that fail to yield to pedestrians and pedestrians who fail to follow the law while crossing a street.
The Joining Forces/Office of Traffic Safety Program encourages Nevada Law Enforcement agencies to co-op together during specified events. The goal of the operation is to unite Nevada Law Enforcement Agencies together to reduce accidents, raise awareness and ultimately save lives.
