CARSON CITY, NV - A 25-minute lockdown at the National Guard building in Carson City ended when no evidence was found of a security breach.
Guard spokesman Dennis Fournier tells KOLO 8 News Now that around 7:30AM Thursday, a landscaping crew working outside the perimeter saw someone wearing a hoodie jump the fence into the Guard compound, which includes the state's emergency management headquarters. But Fournier says no one on staff was notified until about 11AM, when the lockdown of the Fairview Drive facility was put into place and a security sweep was started.
Fournier says the sweep showed no indications of a threat or breach and the lockdown was lifted.
