"I'm very nervous, sometimes I drive around with my children and I come to this store with my children," says Lindsay Crawford.
Crawford was shocked to hear that a man robbed a convenience store so close to where she lives. She's been robbed before and says hearing this news brings back bad memories.
"You feel unsafe in your own home when that happens, so hopefully they catch this guy. Hopefully he doesn't start robbing houses, says Crawford.
So far, the alleged robber has stuck to commercial businesses. It started on December 26 when a subway on Steamboat Parkway was robbed by a man with a semi automatic handgun. The next day, another robbery at the Runway Liquor Store on Longley. December 29th saw a similar robbery at Town Liquor on Double R Boulevard. That was followed by a New Year's Eve hit at the Galena Market at Thomas Creek Road. Then finally, the Dad's Quick Mart in Sparks on the morning of January 2nd. some locals are surprised about the latest robbery.
"When somebody comes in with a gun in someplace like this where you wouldn't expect it is a little unnerving," says Jason Palmer.
"It's a little uneasy about what's going on, especially that my kids go to school here, we live here," says Arthur Ochoa.
Residents hope the suspect is caught soon, especially Crawford who says she hopes the robber gets what he deserves.
"I believe like eye for an eye. Let me torture him, let the owner of the store torture him," says Crawford.
