RENO, NV - Retired City of Reno Deputy Chief of Police Jim Johns will host a fund-raising event, Kidness for Kymberly, on Monday October 14, from 6pm until 8pm.
The event will be held at the Bangkok Cuisine South (5851 S. Virginia St.) Wine and appetizers will be served. The guest list includes over 300 local business owners including Mayor Bob Cashell.
Kymberly will be celebrating her 6th birthday and funds will be raised to help Kymberly battle Acute Lymphatic Leukemia.
Kymberly and her family have to travel to the Oakland Children's hospital every 3 months for her chemotherapy treatment. Last year the family did not have the resources necessary to get all of her treatments.
The Kindness for Kymberly event is members of the community coming together to raise funds to ensure that she does not have to miss any more chemo treatments.
Financial donations will be accepted and can be made before or during the event. All donations and funds raised will be deposited into a trust account.
