Reno, Nev. - It's been three years since the Garden Shop Nursery moved to this spot on Mayberry Drive.
"It's a beautiful location," said Ed Bath, the owner. "We're surrounded by Washoe County Parks."
But the nursery has been a staple in our community for 40 years. Their staying power comes from what they offer.
"Really unique, quality items. We're really quality driven. We want people to get the very best," said Bath. "That's my job, to get the very best out there."
And customers agree, some saying this is the only nursery they'll go to!
"Their tomato plants are the best. They come from a farmer in Fallon, and his tomatoes are incredible, and probably because of the selection, the quality of the plants," said Diana Solorio, a customer.
Garden Shop Nursery has just about anything you'll need to garden, but there's more! For the kids, they can hang out with donkeys, goats, and a parrot named Guido.
"He's kind of king of the roost here, and people love him, he's kind of noisy," said Nadene Lackey, who works in the Garden Shop Gift Shop.
The nursery is also home to a gift shop, the perfect spot to find things for the gardener who has it all.
"We try not to duplicate what other businesses are carrying, we try to get the unique one of a kind type of things," said Lackey.
If you want to check out Garden Shop Nursery, they're open seven days a week.
They also host classes and activities throughout the Summer, and they have farmer's markets on Sundays. Staring in June, they'll have them on Friday nights, too!
