RENO, NV - A Washoe District Court jury has found John Gillane guilty of seven of eight counts in last year's shooting at the Walmart on Kietzke Lane in Reno.
Tuesday afternoon, jurors found him guilty of attempted murder, battery with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon and carrying a concealed weapon.
They were not able to come to agreement on one count of attempted murder, against employee Richard Sanders. The prosecutor in the case hasn't decided whether to retry Gillane on that count.
Gillane was an employee at the Walmart and shot three managers, all of whom have recovered from their injuries. His lawyer admitted he was the shooter, so there was little doubt about the jury finding him guilty on at least some of the charges.
He is scheduled to be sentenced December 14th.
