RENO, NV - Drug detectives from northern Nevada and California have arrested six people and seized about 20 pounds of methamphetamine with a street value of almost $900,000 in an ongoing investigation.
The names of the suspects haven't been released, as the investigation continues, but they are from Reno, Fernley and central California.
The investigation began in October 2012, with the goal of curbing the movement of meth from California into Washoe County to be sold. It started with a complaint to Reno police about drug activity on Gypsum Road, leading to surveillance and the investigation into trafficking.
In addition to the arrests, detectives found almost $100,000 in cash and several guns, one of which had been stolen.
