RENO, Nev. -- If you've been mulling over getting a tattoo or a new piercing.... now could be the right time.

From now until Valentine's Day, Ink Slingers Tattoo shop in Sparks is offering deals on tattoos and piercings... and donating a portion of proceeds to the Nevada Humane Society.

Some of the pets up for adoption visited the store Friday to help support the cause.

Ink Slingers Tattoo has been in business for about three months. The owner, Donnie James, says it's important for local businesses to support each other and the community.

"Just to give back to the community and the less fortunate they don't ask for where they're at so hopefully we can raise awareness and get some pets adopted. I've just wanted to do this since I was a kid this is my dream so we're just making it happen day by day," said James.

The shop is located on Victorian avenue in Sparks. They are also collecting dog food and pet toys.
