RENO, Nev. - A house fire broke out in the basement of a duplex on Saint Lawrence Avenue in Reno Thursday morning.

First calls about the fire came out around 6:45 am.

Firefighters say the fire started in the attic or walls of the duplex, but they don't know how.

A 78-year-old woman living in one side of the duplex wasn't hurt, and it will be about a week before repairs are made so she can return. She's staying with a friend in the meantime. The other side is more badly damaged, and no one was living there.
