MOUND HOUSE, NV - Firefighters from the Central Lyon County Fire Protection District are working to determine the cause of a house fire on Red Rock Road and Calcite Drive in Mound House.
Four people were in the modular home when it caught fire shortly before 10AM Monday, but all got out and have been accounted for. The county emergency manager reports minor injuries to two people, who were taken to a hospital.
Residents and neighbors reported hearing explosions before the fire. Investigators say fighting the fire was slow because of a downed power line and a leaking gas line. It took about an hour and a half to put out the fire.
The home is a total loss.
