CARSON CITY, NV - The cold weather may have led to the death of a homeless man overnight.

He was found at an unofficial homeless camp in a field behind the AM/PM on South Carson Street.

One of his friends tried to wake him up, but couldn't.

Sheriff Ken Furlong says he doesn't suspect foul play, and says it looks like the man may have frozen to death. He says this would be at least the second time that's happened at the same camp in three years.

The victim's name hasn't been released, but he was 53 years old.

The sheriff's office wants to make sure people know there is an overflow homeless shelter set up at Fuji Park in south Carson City to keep people from the nighttime cold during this cold snap.
