RENO, Nev. -- A home invasion call ended in an arrest for sexual assault. When Reno Police officers arrived at a home the 2200 block of Wright Street, they found a woman who told them a man had entered her home, battered and sexually assaulted her then ran out the back of the house.
Officers soon found and arrested 43-year-old Vallier Tomkins.
Detectives assigned to the Reno Police Department Sex Crimes/Child Abuse Unit continued the investigation.
Police officials say Tomkins was booked on five counts of sexual assault, burglary, false imprisonment, preventing a victim from calling 911, and battery with the intent to commit sexual assault.
Tomkins was also arrested for an outstanding failure to appear warrant for a charge of indecent exposure in Reno in 2011.
