HAWTHORNE, Nev. - U.S. 95 is back open from Schurz to Hawthorne after high wind caused problems.
NHP tells us 3 semi-trucks were blown over, so the road was closed for safety concerns. There were no serious injuries.
The road closure affected some students in the area. The students transported into Hawthorne from Schurz were not be picked up today due to the road closure.
However, Schurz Elementary School and the Mina, Luning, Town Route will run as normal.
The Lake and Base students will run as normal.
