RENO – Volunteers are needed to help keep the Truckee River clean.
The 15th annual Truckee River Cleanup is being held Saturday, September 29, from 8:30am to 12 p.m. There are several cleanup sites listed, including Mayberry Park, Oxbow Nature Study, Glendale Park, and Gateway Park.
After the cleanup, there will be a volunteer appreciation barbecue at Rock Park.
Last year more than 600 people helped move 12.5 tons of trash from the river.
