RENO, NV - It will take until at least next week to determine whether the man accused in a 2011 shooting are considered gang members.
A Washoe District Court hearing this week has been moving in regards to the upcoming trial of Cesar Villagrana and Ernesto Gonzalez. Gonzalez is accused of shooting a rival biker inside John Ascuaga's Nugget during the Street Vibrations event in 2011. Villagrana is charged with shooting into the crowd, but not hitting anyone.
Security has been tight for the hearing, which wrapped up for Wednesday with no decisions made.
The question being determined: whether the two men qualify as gang members, which could make their sentences more harsh if they are convicted.
The hearing will resume Monday.
