Sparks, Nev. - Starting Monday, March 19th, people who park in the C Street Parking Garage in Sparks near Victorian Square may have to find a new place to park, at least for awhile.
That's because the parking garage will be undergoing construction for some much-needed repairs.
Only about half of the spots in the garage will be available for parking. That amounts to about 40 parking spaces.
It's all part of a plan to make the garage more useful for many years to come.
The parking garage was built in 1987, and a city spokesperson says it's actually held up pretty well, but there are some things that need to be fixed.
For example, it's starting to crack in some spots, and water is leaking between the floors.
The project will cost $574,000.
