HAZMAT Situation in Sparks
Sparks police are investigating the post office location on Vista Boulevard amid reports of an envelope containing a suspicious substance. Officers say a customer opened an envelope containing powdered material and Sparks police are approaching the scene as a HAZMAT situation until further determination of the substance. There were no apparent injuries and everyone involved underwent decontamination procedures. Officers say the post office will remain closed until further notice.
