Grove Looking to Attract D'Andrea Customers

RENO, NV - When the D'Andrea golf course shut down, it left an untold number of brides and grooms with a deposit they're never going to get back and no place to celebrate their big day.

The club shut down last month after homeowners in the neighborhood decided not to pay a fee to keep it open. D'Andrea wasn't able to return deposits to couples who had booked weddings there, and those deposits are a thousand dollars each.

Instead of losing out on that money, the Grove at South Creek wants to help. If you take in your proof-of-deposit from D'Andrea to the Grove, your wedding fee there will be waived.

KOLO 8 News Now would like to talk to any brides who are scrambling to rebook their weddings because of the D'Andrea closure. If you're interested in talking on camera, please email: news@kolotv.com.

A group is hoping to make a deal to get D'Andrea back up and running this summer, but there is no guarantee.
