RENO, NV - St. Anthony Greek Orthodox Church will be hosting its 27th annual Reno-Tahoe Greek Festival August 22-24.
Original Greek entrees and desserts are prepared by the parishioners of St. Anthony's with some new additions this year, such as the Greek-style chicken wings. Popular items include the gyros, baklava, Greek salad and other mouth-watering options.
This year, the Helios Live Greek band will be performing live and mingling with the dancing crowds while St. Anthony's own young dancers will be hitting the stage with traditional and contemporary Greek moves. There will also be a silent auction, raffle, and a booth filled with Greek imports.
The festival runs from 5-10pm Friday, Noon-10pm Saturday and 11am-3pm Sunday. Tickets are $5 at the door. Children 12 and under get in for free. St. Anthony Greek Orthodox Church is located at 4795 Lakeside Drive in Reno.
