RENO, Nev. - Over the weekend vandals hit the Double Diamond Ranch community hard, spray painting posts, signs and fences. Vandalism that could cost thousands of dollars to clean up.

"I've gotten no other work in in two full days."
Community manager Karen Brown has spent those days taking calls about graffiti all over the double diamond community and photographing the damage.

"I was totally flabbergasted that someone would use their energy to destroy so much private property."
It's the worst the community has seen, more than 60 different areas throughout the neighborhood.

"They spray painted pillars, fences, mailboxes, nv energy boxes, anywhere they could spray it's just horrible."
Police don't think the tags are gang related, they're mostly hearts, ghosts, and the word "shaggy", but it's going to cost homeowners thousands of dollars to repair all the damage.

"We have to sandblast and if the cement falls off we have to get a mason in here to repair it, sandblast and repaint all the fences." It's not just the homeowners who are upset.

"Everybody is upset, the people that drive through here, the workers, the maintenance people, the landscapers that keep this place beautiful have to look at it." It will take several days to get everything cleaned up.

Meantime, the hope is someone may have seen something that can help move this investigation forward.
"The hope is to get the homeowners to open their eyes maybe report something they might have seen hopefully to prevent something like this from happening again because the cost of the repairs cost to the city and the taxpayers the homeowners for something that might have been a joke... It isn't."
