Golf Tournament Benefits Family of Fallen Reno Police Officer

RENO, NV - Want to golf for a charitable cause?

On Monday, October 7, 2013, golfers can participate in the Annual Thin Blue Line Golf Classic hosted by The Nevada Thin Blue Line at Wolf Run Golf Club.

Participants will need to pay a registration fee of $125. This includes the greens fee for 18 holes of golf, a cart and an Oktoberfest lunch, according to an official with the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP).

Proceeds from this tournament will benefit the family of fallen Reno Police Officer Scott Sorensen and Guardsman Shannon Hampton, who is fighting cancer, according to an official with the NHP.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., with tee-off at 9:00 a.m.
