All ages are invited to the City of Sparks' annual Breakfast with Santa on Saturday December 10 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Recreation Gym, 98 Richards Way. The cost is $5 per person for one breakfast helping prepared by Men Wielding Fire. Breakfast will be served until 9:30 a.m. Bring your camera for that special picture with Santa. Breakfast with Santa is this weekend, and there are still spots available for kids to enjoy a great breakfast with Santa. The event will be this Saturday, December 10 at BJ’s Brewhouse from 8am-10am. Prices are $11 for adults and $7 for children. Guests can register at 775-853-7800.
Santa’s Winter Wonderland to Support Evelyn Mount’s Community Outreach: For one special day, guests can visit with Santa Clause, Mrs. Clause, reindeer and elves from the North Pole. Refreshments, live horse and carriage rides, ornament decorating, face painting, balloon animals, festive nail polishing, hair sparkles and carolers will be showcased. Families can receive a free professional holiday photo if they bring in non-perishable food items. At noon, Evelyn Mount will ceremoniously ride into the event on a horse and carriage. For those who want to participate throughout the holiday season, Garver’s Allstate office will collect winter coats during the month of December. All coats and Santa’s Winter Wonderland food donations will go directly to Evelyn Mount’s Community Outreach. Home 4 the Holidays Festivities Continue at Nevada Humane Society Saturday, December 10. It’s a great time to purchase holiday gifts for the family, celebrate a time of giving and love, and visit with playful cats and dogs, all hoping for a home for the holidays. Local authors will be on site with animal-related books available for purchase. You can even get them signed for a great Christmas gift! Holiday shopping doesn’t stop there, as several local artists will be selling small stocking stuffers, with a portion of their proceeds to benefit homeless pets. Adding to the holiday festivities, elementary school choirs will be performing your favorite holiday carols. All festivities will events take place from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm at the Nevada Humane Society shelter on Longley Lane.
