RENO, NV - Reno, Carson City, South Lake Tahoe, Mammoth Lakes, Fallon and many other places will see record heat today.
In addition to the heat, we will also have a chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms starting this afternoon. The storms will be slow moving, so if you do get caught under one, you will see some decent rain. The thunderstorms will not be very widespread, only isolated.
As we head into the weekend we will still see temperatures well above average (78°) but no more records are going to be broken.
A big cool down moves in as the next work week gears up.
