Friday Web Weather

RENO, NV - Most of the day on the valley floor will be dry. A couple of inches of snow will fall in the Sierra with the Winter Weather Advisory at Tahoe expiring at 4pm.

Reno has a better chance for a blanket of light snow Saturday morning. Temperatures stay cool all weekend long with highs Saturday not even getting out of the 30°s.

There is also a chance for heavy snow caused by lake effect off Lake Tahoe and Pyramid lake. This snow will not impact Reno. But in a very narrow band between Carson City and the Carson Valley we could see up to 8 inches of snow from late this afternoon through Saturday morning.
