If you have old computers or electronics lying around, there's a place you can take them to be recycled for free!

By dropping your electronics off at Computer Corps, you're also helping at-risk schools and families.

Computer Corps takes your old computer, then fixes it up to donate to local families and classrooms.

They take special care to make sure any data on your old hard driver gets completely erased to federal standards.

"People can get a hold of that data, find out banking records, credit card numbers, so we put it into a state where it cannot be recovered," said Jeff Bernardi, Computer Corps CEO.

Computer Corps will even give you a certificate showing that your hard drive has been erased.

You can drop off pretty much anything with a plug, and they'll recycle it for free.

They have two locations:
RENO: 3595 Airway Drive # 407
CARSON CITY:550 Mallory Way
