Four People Found Dead in Winnemucca Mobile Home Fire

WINNEMUCCA, NV - Fire crews find four dead people after responding to a mobile home fire in Winnemucca Sunday.

Winnemucca City Fire Department was dispatched to 4072 N. Estate Rd on a reported structure fire, Sunday at approximately 2:30 am. On arrival, a single wide mobile home was fully engulfed in flames.

According to Winnemucca City Fire Chief Alan Olsen it took firefighters approximately fifteen minutes before they could make entry into the home. Once inside the residence the firefighters located four deceased people. Once the fire was out, the crime scene was turned over to the Winnemucca Police Department for investigation.

The Winnemucca Police Department called in the Washoe County Crime lab and the Nevada State Fire Marshals office to assist with the investigation.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation and the names of the deceased are not being released at this time.

There is no sign of criminal activity or foul play.
