Former Hug High basketball star Andrew Johnson is one of three suspects arrested for a home burglary, which ended in a minor chase with Sparks police.

The Sparks Police Department says officers responded to a call in the 2300 block of Anqua Drive at noon Tuesday. The caller had apparently walked in on a home burglary in progress, and scared two suspects away. One drove away from the scene, the other ran away on foot. Sparks officers located the getaway car just one block away on Sorrento Court.

Police say officers later found Johnson, along with his alleged accomplice who is underage, in the area of Northern Nevada Medical Center. Police say the two tried to flee from the police again, but were arrested.

A third man, Bryce Baudion, was arrested by Sparks Police officers for allegedly changing shirts with Johnson in order to help him get away from officers.

Johnson and the underage accomplice are charged with two counts of burglary, and possession of stolen property. Baudion is charged for being an accessory after the fact.

Johnson was the 2011-2012 All North First Team basketball player for Hug High School, and he was the North Player of the Year for 2010-2011.
