FEMA to Tour Washoe Drive Burn Area
FEMA will be in neighborhoods affected by the Washoe Drive Fire assessing the damage. Monday, the agency authorized funding to reimburse 75% of the firefighting cost, which is estimated to be a little over half a million dollars.

FEMA will be in neighborhoods affected by the Washoe Drive Fire assessing the damage. Monday, the agency authorized funding to reimburse 75% of the firefighting cost, which is estimated to be a little over half a million dollars.
FEMA has declared a Fire Management Assistance Declaration. The Washoe Drive Fire has been categorized as "B" which means emergency response, even shelters will be eligible for reimbursement.
Right now, FEMA has not declared any individual assistance.
3200 acres were burned in this fire and 29 homes were destroyed.
